Beginning in January 1999, the San Bernardino Valley Amateur Astronomers began to hold our monthly meetings at the San Bernardino County Museum (SBCM). The Museum and SBVAA have worked together to bring the public such outreaches as the Hale-Bopp Comet Watch at Glen Helen, Moon Party at SBCM, the 1998 Geminid Meteor watch at Calico; just to name a few.

The club meets on the second or third Saturday of the month at 7:00 pm. The meetings take place typically in the lower section of the geodesic dome, the SBCM security guard will direct you elsewhere if there is a change. The meetings wrap-up around 9:00 PM then, typically there are telescope viewing until 10:00 PM Refreshments are restricted from the museum but, we continue to have our pre-meeting dinners at the Loma Linda Home Town Buffet and post-meeting dessert at the Redlands Coco's. Directions to the San Bernardino County Museum can be found here.

Take the 10 freeway to the California Avenue off-ramp in Redlands. Head north, under the freeway, on California. Get over to the right and make a right on to Orange Tree Lane; across from Pharaoh's Lost Kingdom amusement park. Follow Orange Tree Lane as it winds around the bend a little.
